2007 Estate Merlot

2006 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon
The flavor profile of the 2006 Cabernet is similar to the 2003 vintage, the first crop from Minnick Hills Vineyard. It displays tons of dark, jammy fruit, blackberries, currants, and huckleberries. It has the spiciness that is characteristic of the Minnick Hills Bordeaux varietals, a little earthy, with lots of bay leaf and sage. 2006 Minnick Hills Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
The majority of the fruit for this very small lot came from the "sweet spot" at Minnick Hills Vineyard. The most significant feature of this wine is its complexity. It is tightly focused at the outset, and then reveals new layers for several hours after opening. The flavors are concentrated with rich dark fruits and elegant spices. This wine has an assertive structure, and yet a finish that lingers pleasantly for several minutes. 2006 Estate Merlot
The first thing you will notice about this Merlot is the strikingly rich color that builds a lofty expectation. Further investigation will not disappoint. Aromas of marshmallow, cocoa, and vanilla inspire visions of hot chocolate after a day on the slopes. On the palate this wine exhibits a delightful and lingering blend of bright red fruits.
