2009 Estate Syrah Released

Grapes for this wine come from two of our estate vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley.  Breezy Slope Vineyard, running up the Blue Mountains, is a much higher and cooler site.  Minnick Hills Vineyard, at the northern end of the AVA, adds complexity with relatively heavy soils.  Both sites bring unique flavor and structure to this enchanting blend.

A dense, rich wine; it offers scents of ripe blackberries and currants that mingle with bacon, leather, and a touch of minerality.   Mouth-filling fruit flavors are balanced with good acidity and a long, expressive finish.

You can purchase this wine here.

Praise for 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Judith Henderson of Wine and Country Living, gives Dumas Station 98 points for their '07 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, citing; "This wine is a twisted vine ripened Cab, chock full of rich rummy crushed double cluster boysenberries and chopped cedar tannins, squiggled in regional honey. You'll know this wine is King of Cabs when leather jackets are left in the car, freeing the nose to enjoy the purity of crushed new leather nuances quaffing from bottle top. Dumas Station winemaker Jay Dewitt, tames the terroir of Minnick Hills, talking to the vines in lilting syllables."  Congratulations Jay and team at Dumas Station, Dayton Washington.

Dumas Station Wines 2007 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Walla Walla Valley, $32

"Excellent: The folks at Minnick Hills Vineyard celebrated their fifth vintage with this fascinating offering, which is warm with vanilla and smoke aromas that swirl with black cherry cola, rosemary, sage and thyme. It's a sturdy drink that stretches broadly across the palate with notes of plum, raspberry, salted caramels, saddle leather and a pinch of juniper berry. (511 cases, 15.3% alc.)"
