Cow Catcher Red

2014 Cow Catcher Red

This Washington red blend comes from 100% Walla Walla Valley fruit.

Aromas of black currants, violets, and black tea reveal themselves upon first encountering this wine. A second sniff reveals dusty spices and wheat chaff from the nearby rolling hills, along with black pepper and cured meats. The mouthfeel is full-bodied and lush, yet balanced with soft tannins and pleasant acidity. Flavors in the mouth include blackberry, dark cherries, and a hint of anise.

2013 Cow Catcher Red

Aromas include blackberry, dark cherry, fresh figs, and pencil lead. Our favorite thing about this wine is its juicy character. A swish around the mouth reveals lush fruit and a full body. It also features well integrated tannins and beautiful balance. Another great value for 100% Walla Walla Valley fruit.

“A swirl of this wine brings back memories of mom’s kitchen during canning season.”

2012 Cow Catcher Red

This wine displays a beautiful blend of fruit characteristics and earthiness. Tempting aromas of bay leaf, wild mushrooms and dark olives mix with ripe blackberries and fresh plums. With the perfect proportion of tannins to acidity; this wine has perfect balance and of course a smooth, lingering finish reminiscent of Dumas Station wines.

2010 Cow Catcher Red

This red blend comes from 100% Walla Walla Valley fruit. The 2010 vintage started with cold and wet early season weather, resulting in small berry size and high skin-to-pulp ratio. The fall weather was warm and the grapes came in with lower brix and higher acid levels, contributing to excellent balance.

Cabernet Sauvignon aromas dominate the nose, including green and black olives, baked raspberries and pie cherries. This is well put together and meaty wine.

2009 Cow Catcher Red

Made from fruit that would normally go into the higher end “Estate” brand, production was shifted this vintage, creating a stand-out red wine. A blend of four Bordeaux varietals with a dash of Syrah, this wine was crafted with free-run juice to produce deep fruit flavors. These flavors include dark cherries, tobacco, green olives, and a hint of blackberries. Dark tea, notes of leather, and subtle tannins round out this full-bodied Walla Walla wine. Great acidity and a silky finish make this a great wine to pair with food, or enjoy on its own.
